Congratulations to Marly Farrell and Connor Sampson from Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School for their selection as CSASC Student-Athletes of the Month for May! Here is what our teacher-coach nominators had to say about this month’s recipients:
“Marly Farrell was an integral part of the Patrick Fogarty Senior Girls’ Volleyball Team that competed at OFSAA in March. Marly, who is currently in Grade 11, forced opponents to adjust their defensive schemes in an attempt to manage her potent left side attack. She is a fierce competitor, who is incredibly consistent with her passing and hitting. When the team needed some inspired leadership, Marly could always be counted on to provide adjustments and encouragement for her teammates. Congratulations, Marly!”
“Connor is a Grade 12 student at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School. Throughout the winter season, he was a standout goalie on our Varsity Boys Hockey Team. Connor had an incredible run in powering the Flames to a GBSSA title allowing only one goal in 5 playoff games. Connor is planning to return to PF next fall for a 12B year and play junior hockey with an eye on attending college the following year to pursue a diploma in Human Resources. Well deserved, Connor!”
